Audi A6L gearbox common problem: gearbox failure, loud noise when driving. The car is noisy; there is a hesitation in reversing and starting, and the shifting is not smooth.
Audi A6L dual clutch gearbox:
1. The dual-clutch gearbox combines the advantages of a manual gearbox and an automatic gearbox. Instead of using a torque converter, two sets of clutches are used instead. The two sets of clutches work alternately to achieve the effect of gapless shifting.
2. Because there is no torque converter, the power of the engine can be fully exerted. At the same time, the two sets of clutches work alternately with each other, so that the shifting time is extremely short, and the power fault of the engine is very limited.
3. Because the gear shift is more direct and the power loss is smaller, the fuel consumption can be reduced by more than 10%.
Disadvantages: 1. Since the torque converter is not used, and the “semi-linked” action of the manual transmission cannot be realized, the characteristics of insufficient torque at low speed will be completely exposed for small-displacement engines.
2. Since the dual clutch adopts computer control, it belongs to an intelligent transmission. It needs to send an electronic signal to the engine during the up/down shift process. After the engine responds, it can complete the up/down shift with the engine. The use of a large number of electronic components also increases the probability of their failures.
